John Ivie

John Ivie is a shareholder of the Firm and represents financial institutions, healthcare and technology companies, and other businesses in commercial disputes and bankruptcy litigation.  John’s practice includes general business litigation, commercial collections and creditors’ rights bankruptcy.

John graduated from Southern Methodist University School of Law where he was selected a National Member of the Order of Barristers and was an award winning-advocate for the National Trial Advocacy Competition championship team.  John received a BS in nursing from the University of Texas at El Paso, and was a practicing registered nurse prior to attending law school.

For the past nine years John has shared his passion for advocacy with law students from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law coaching mock trial teams for the law school’s Board of Advocates.  John is admitted to the State Bar of Texas, and is a member of the Dallas Bar Association; John actively supports Metrocrest Social Services.
